Here's What to Expect From Motorola Solution's Next Earnings Report

Chicago, Illinois-based Motorola Solutions, Inc. (MSI) provides public safety and enterprise security solutions in the United States and internationally. With a market cap of $70.2 billion, the company operates in two segments: Products and Systems Integration, and Software and Services.  

The tech company is expected to release its Q2 2025 earnings on Thursday, August 7. Ahead of this event, analysts project MSI to report earnings of $3.06 per share, which represents a 3.4% growth from $2.96 in the same quarter last year. The company has surpassed Wall Street’s bottom-line estimates in each of the past four quarters, which is impressive.

For fiscal 2025, analysts forecast MSI to report an EPS of $13.48, marking a 5.9% increase from $12.73 reported in fiscal 2024. Moreover, in fiscal 2026, its earnings are expected to grow 7.9% year-over-year to $14.54 per share.

MSI stock has grown 6.6% over the past 52 weeks, underperforming the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund’s (XLK16.3% surge and the S&P 500 Index’s ($SPX13.6% uptick during the same time frame.

On May 1, MSI declined marginally following the release of its Q1 resultsThe communications equipment maker posted revenue of $2.53 billion in the period, surpassing Street forecasts. Moreover, its adjusted earnings for the quarter amounted to $2.88 per share, surpassing the consensus estimates by 5.9%. Looking ahead, the company expects full-year earnings in the range of $14.64 to $14.74 per share.

Analysts' consensus view on MSI is moderately optimistic, with an overall "Moderate Buy" rating. Out of 13 analysts covering the stock, opinions include eight "Strong Buys," one "Moderate Buy," and four "Holds.” Its mean price target of $503.56 suggests a 19.8% upside potential from current price levels.
